84th Annual Academy Awards

This years Oscars were a star-studded event, the awards, the hosts, the 'fashion' and the faux pas. With a plethora of fabulous gowns to choose from I struggled to shorten my list of favs to share with you (seems everyone had glamour on the mind and majority a good stylist on hand!)...

Heres my 'refined' listing of hits....

Alexandra Edenborough - Loving the structured bodice on this dress

Angelina Jolie is rocking this mix of classy/sexy velvet Atelier Versace Gown with Neil Lane Jewellery

Kate Mara in Jack Guisso Couture & Lorraine Schwartz Jewellery - this is princessy pretty but she needs some neck bling

Natalie Portman rocking a hot post baby bod in Dior Haute Couture (circa 1954) & Harry Winston Jewellery

Viola Davis in Vera Wang & Octavia Spencer wearing a hot emerald green Tadoshi Shoji gown.
These ladies from 'The Help' (a movie I highly recommend), look anything but! Viola's dress complements her larger frame in all the right places with the dress emphasising her waistline and sleeves thinning her arms.. As for Octavia - I have no words, I hardly recognised her sans wig. The hue looks fab with her skin tone and strapless gown shows off her toned arms

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen.
I love the Gold embrodiary on black fabric here.. Just Gorgeous

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad & Lorraine Schwartz Jewellery.. What can I say she is Latin, she has style & knows how to work it :)

Flattering use of Silhouette & fabric need I say more?

Maria Menounos - My absolute favourite dress at the awards.. Love the colour on her tanned skin & the bodice cut of the dress with the flow down below - (again she is Latin...) Just perfect!
